Detect & Protect has reached a further milestone at Clapham Park in London, with sprinkler commissioning underway for our client, Vistry Group. The project update marks the transition from installation progress towards final testing and preparation for handover.
Our London Project Manager, Silviu Mihaescu, has been supporting commissioning on the first two blocks of the six-block development. Close involvement from the project team helps maintain continuity between the installation work, the testing activities and the information required by the wider construction team.
Residential and commercial sprinkler systems
Alongside the residential works, commissioning of the commercial car park sprinkler system is also in progress. Delivering both elements on one development requires careful coordination of programme, access and the relevant system interfaces.
Commissioning is an important stage in demonstrating how an installed system operates. Planning this work alongside the remaining construction activities helps the team identify outstanding actions and organise the records needed for completion.
Working towards the next milestone
At the time of the LinkedIn update, Clapham Park was progressing towards planned practical completion in January 2027. We are continuing to work with the project team through the remaining stages of the sprinkler package.
Our relationship with Vistry Group also extends to Cambridge Road Estate in Kingston upon Thames, which is set to follow as another major London development. Repeat appointments reflect the importance of collaboration and consistent project delivery across successive schemes.
Detect & Protect supports residential and commercial sprinkler projects from design and coordination through to installation, commissioning and handover. Early engagement gives construction teams the opportunity to plan those stages together.
